2、Introduction
This product is a mixture of two isomers of diethyl toluene diamine. It is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature with slight ammonia smell. It is slightly soluble in water and polar organic solvents such as alcohol, ether and ketone. It has good compatibility with polyether and polyester polyols. Long term exposure to the air will darken the color. It can be used as curing agent, antioxidant, chain extender, lubricant, polyurethane raw material, amine catalyst, etc.

It is soluble in alcohol, ether, ketone and other polar organic solvents, and has good compatibility with polyether and polyester polyols.
5、Applications
Detda is a very effective chain extender for polyurethane elastomer, especially suitable for rim (reaction injection molding) and SPUA (spray polyurea elastomer); it can also be used as curing agent of aromatic diamine for polyurethane elastomer and epoxy resin, used for casting, coating, rim and adhesive, as well as chain extender for polyurethane and polyurea elastomer. In addition, it can also be used as curing agent of epoxy resin, alkyd resin, lubricant of industrial oil, antioxidant of industrial oil, and intermediate of chemical synthesis of pesticide and dye.

Detda (diethyltoluene diamine) is easy to absorb moisture, and its color will be deepened in the presence of oxygen.
As with any hygroscopic compound, special care should be taken when storing or transferring. The following steps are recommended:
· store in nitrogen atmosphere. It prevents discoloration. As a benefit, dry nitrogen will displace water vapor.
Avoid high humidity and outdoor storage. After using detda, it is better to replace the container with dry nitrogen.
Avoid long-term storage at high temperature. Higher temperatures increase the rate of darkening in the presence of oxygen.
If the storage temperature is below 9 ℃, detda (diethyltoluidine) can be mixed after being properly heated to room temperature and uniform.
